FaR is a Swiss international solidarity organization founded in 2015. Its goal is to meet the basic needs of young people in underprivileged countries in terms of food, clothing, various supplies, and education.
Lighting the Way for Young People
VISION
FaR strives to empower as many people as possible to achieve a decent life through education and work aimed at helping beneficiaries become self-reliant.
IDENTITY
FaR—an acronym for Feed and Read—is rich in meaning. It highlights two of the Association’s objectives:
- meeting basic material needs
- education and training
Furthermore, by playing on the homophone with the French word “phare,” it highlights the ultimate goal: to shed some light and serve as a beacon for young people who are searching for their path.
MISSION
FaR focuses primarily on providing individualized, ad hoc, and personalized assistance aimed at promoting the beneficiaries’ self-reliance and socioeconomic development.
The Association also participates in projects that benefit the institutions it supports.
