Illuminate young people

lives

Bring a little light and be a role model for young people who are searching for their path in life.

FaR is a Swiss international solidarity association founded in 2015. Its goal is to provide for the basic needs of young people in disadvantaged countries in terms of food, clothing, various equipment, and education.

Enlightening young lives

VISION

FaR aspires to give as many people as possible the means to access a decent life through education and work aimed at the independence of beneficiaries.

IDENTITY

FaR—an acronym for Feed and Read—is rich in meaning. It highlights two of the Association's objectives:

  • the satisfaction of basic material needs
  • education and training

Furthermore, through its homophony with the French word phare(beacon), it emphasizes the ultimate goal: to bring a little light and be a beacon for young people in search of direction.

MISSION

FaR focuses primarily on providing individual, ad hoc, personalized assistance aimed at promoting the independence and socioeconomic development of its beneficiaries.

The Association also participates in projects that benefit the institutions it supports.

“It is in the greatest adversity that there is the greatest potential to do good, both for oneself and for others.”
